PERSONAL COUNSELLING – J.M. Fuster

The Late J.M. Fuster was a Jesuit Priest with a PhD in Psychology. He was Founder-Director of Xavier Institute of Counselling, Mumbai. From 1958 to 1974, he was Professor of Psychology at Saint Xavier’s College, Mumbai. In 1967, he was recognized as a ‘guide’ by the University of Bombay (now Mumbai) for the PhD degree in Psychology. During his Sabbatical year, 1971-1972, he underwent training as Trainer in Sensitivity Training or T Groups at the National Training Laboratories Institute, Bethel, Maine, USA. In 1978, he received training in the 1977 Carkhuff Model of Counselling from Dr Robert R. Carkhuff at the Carkhuff Institute of Human Technology, Amherst, Massachusetts.
